How's life with a Leaf?
Do you have solar in your home or just use what the electric company gives you?
How's the real world mileage? I'd consider one, but my daily commute is about 75 miles, and that's cutting it close, IIRC about Leaf range.

I have one and to be honest its great for what it does. You just have to be willing to know and understand its limits and stay within range. As far as electricity costs, i live in Orange Country and we have So Cal Edison and they offer special rates for electric cars. my rates are honestly so low right now after 12 i can keep the central AC on in the house from 12- 6 AM and i charge the car from 0-90% and it costs me $7. it makes little to no sense to go solar unless you will charge in the day which i rarely do. Day is expensive tho about $13 a charge. The last 10% of the charge take up the most amount of energy so i normally dont top it off. The car is programmed to start at a certain time and the cell phone app that comes with the car is really awesome and makes things easy to use. Real world milage we are talking about 60-70 miles if you just mess with it and are not trying to be conservative (going 80 all the way) if you stay at 65 MPH you can get 75-80. There are super charging stations which will charge the car 80% in 20 minutes all over the place here in so cal and almost available at all nissan dealers for free. Overall its a great car for what its meant for and the 0-40 speed is a lot of fun (it lags a bit after that)
